how can I use a laptop monitor as a second monitor for another laptop?
working laptop Dell Inspiron 6000. broken laptop BenQ joybook with ATI video card (screen is fine only motherboard is broken) I think it's possible and don't have to cost much. I'm talking about getting a piece of hardware and soldering some wire to convert the VGA output to something the video controller would recognize.

you cant use the monitor...coz there will be only one VGA output available in ur dell inspi....as no laptops has inputs...only laptop out can be viewed in a monitor.U can watch in the side ways of ur system

t's possible, but it would cost a lot of $$$. You can't just plug a cord in like with a regular desktop monitor. Your better bet would be to get an old desktop monitor. People are giving them away just to get rid of them.
