Dealing problem with installing window XP into BenQ r47..?
I jz bought a new laptop.. the model is BenQ R47.. As i open my computer, i have found that there is a linux OS which is called Linpus inside.. THen, i put my window xp install CD inside my computer.. i had made couple of changes in Bios setup which is set boot CD room as the first priority.. Unfortunately, i encountered an error during the install window XP.. It stated: CHECK FOR VIRUSES ON YOUR COMPUTER. REMOVE ANY NEWLY INSTALLED HARD DRIVES OR HARD DRIVE CONTROLLERS. CHECK YOUR HARD DRIVE TO MAKE SURE IT IS PROPERLY CONFIGURED AND TERMINATED. RUN CHKDSK /F TO CHECK FOR HARD DRIVE CORRUPTION, AND THEN RESTART YOUR COMPUTER. Try regedit and look for the OS and take out the file then try re-install

did you delete the partition? delete the partition and then let windows re-partition the hard dirve
